The word 'Ikat' is derived from the Malay-Indonesian word 'mang-ikat', which means to bind or knot. Ikat is a dyeing technique originating from Indonesia used to pattern textiles that employs resist dyeing on the yarns prior to dyeing and weaving the fabric.In India this craft is practised in various regions namely Pochampally, Sambalpur, Patola.

These are Pochampally mercerised cotton Ikat sarees. These are contemporary designs created using traditional techniques and azo free dyes. Apt for any casual or formal occasion and they are sure to turn heads.
